Mr Chan is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a former President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining the Government, Mr Chan held a number of public service positions including member of the Legislative Council and Chairman of Legal Aid Services Council.

Mr Chan served as Secretary for Development from July 2012 to January 2017. He has been Financial Secretary since 2017.

Aged 65, Mr. Lam was appointed Chairman of the Board in June 2024. He is a member of the World Board and Asia-Pacific Regional Board of Airports Council International and the Lantau Development Advisory Committee. He served as CEO of Airport Authority Hong Kong from October 2014 to May 2024. Recognized as "Director of the Year" in 2007, he has received numerous accolades, including the Peace through Commerce Medal and the Executive Award in the DHL/SCMP Hong Kong Business Awards.

Aged 63, Mrs. Cheung was appointed Acting CEO in June 2024 and COO in December 2022. She holds an MBA from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Computer Science from The State University of New York. An alumnus of Stanford's Executive Programme, she joined Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK) in 1992, having worked in high-tech companies in New York and Silicon Valley. She serves on various boards and committees, including the Town Planning Board.

Karen Walker is the Group Air Transport Editor-in-Chief at Aviation Week Network and Editor-in-Chief of Air Transport World, leading global air transport coverage. She joined ATW in 2011, previously serving as Chief Editor at Armed Forces Journal and Americas’ Chief Editor at Airline Business. Karen is on the Board of the International Aviation Club of Washington D.C., was President in 2018-2019, and has won multiple Aerospace Media Awards. She chaired the 2022-2024 IATA Diversity & Inclusion Awards judging panels and serves on the L. Welch Pogue Award Committee. She earned her journalism degree in the UK.

With 23 years in Aviation SaaS, Sajin has collaborated with over 100 global airlines and ground handlers. He began as an IBM Mainframe programmer for Swissair and has since held roles such as business analyst, architect, product manager, and strategy consultant. Currently the global lead for cross CAS – Solution Architecture, Sajin holds a B.Tech in Computer Science, an Executive MBA, and an IATA-Harvard diploma. He is pursuing further tech leadership studies at MIT.

Dr. Xie holds a Doctor of Law and L.L.M, authors academic works, and is an arbitrator.

As Chief of the ICAO Asia Pacific Regional Sub Office since August 2016, Raphael Guillet is responsible for organizing ATM implementation projects to support APAC States to cope with the traffic growth, which includes assistance to improve ATS route network, to implement new PBN flight procedures, to coordinate implementation of ATFM systems between States and to enhance civil military coordination. He worked for the rulemaking bureau of the French Directorate for Air Transport in Paris and as aviation counsellor in the French Embassy to China for 4 years from 2010.

He’s a leading technologist for the Civil Aviation Administration of China and introduced Chinese Airport Economics theories. He authored ‘Airport Economics: Growth Space in Speed Economy Era’, translated ‘Aviation Metropolis: Our Future Life Style’, and won the Sci-tech Achievement Award of CAAC and the 10th Tianjin Outstanding Social-Scientific Achievement Award.

Sarah, with 28 years of travel industry experience, has worked on projects for major airports worldwide. She joined Amadeus in 2014, leading the Airport & Airline Operations business unit for Asia-Pacific. She’s responsible for scaling up market share and overseeing solution delivery. Sarah serves on the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Board and advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She sponsors the Amadeus Women’s Network in Asia and is a Director on the Women in Aviation, Singapore Chapter Board. She holds a BA in Economics & Finance and an AMAP Diploma.

As CEO of Mactan-Cebu International Airport, he drives transformative initiatives to position it as the Philippines' premier tourism gateway. Titonis also lectures in Aviation Management at a top German university, mentoring future aviation leaders. Committed to advancing the industry, he aims to leave a lasting impact through leadership, innovation, and education.

He has extensive experience in Aviation Security and has won awards for Risk Management and Supply Chain Security. Dr. Gao is professor and Director of the General Aviation Industry Research Center of Beihang University. He is the Vice Chairman of the General Aviation Committee of the China Communication and Transportation Association, a Member of the International Cooperation Committee of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics & Astronautics, and an AAM Advisory Group Member of the International Coordinating Council of Aerospace Industries Associations (ICCAIA). Dr. Gao supported various general aircraft manufacturing projects in China and has been active in aviation forums and media interviews.

Sumesh Patel is appointed President of the Asia Pacific region for SITA since 2017 and is responsible for developing the strategic direction of SITA. He has guided teams in the design+implementation of IT initiatives meeting needs of Asia Pacific’s airlines and airports. Sumesh is a global leader in the air transport industry. His deep knowledge air transport industry in APAC and an Executive MBA from the National University of Singapore. Based in Singapore, Sumesh plays a crucial role in shaping SITA’s presence and impact in the region.

Mr Yiu was appointed Executive Director, Airport Operations, in December 2022. Mr Yiu has been in the aviation industry for over 30 years. He joined AAHK in 1995 and held various management positions in airport operations, including technical services, airfield and terminal management. He was General Manager, Terminal, at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport from 2009 to 2012. He is currently a Director of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai Airport Management Company Limited. Mr Yiu is a Registered Professional Surveyor. Prior joining AAHK, he was actively involved in numerous airport developments, including the refurbishment of Kai Tak Airport, New Airport Master Plan, and construction of Macao International Airport.
