Low Altitude Economy Forum X Aviation Week AAM Awards 2026

What is the Low Altitude Economy (LAE)?

The Low Altitude Economy refers to the emerging economic ecosystem centred around activities, businesses, and services conducted at altitudes below 1,000-3,000 meters above ground level. This sector is primarily driven by advancements in drone technology and the concept of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).

Introduction

Welcome to the second edition of Low Altitude Economy (LAE) Forum × Aviation Week Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Awards 2026 — the premier one-day program bringing together leading innovators, operators, regulators, and investors to shape the next frontier of aviation. Co-organized by Super Terminal Expo (STE), Aviation Week, this gathering will showcase cutting-edge technology, policy frameworks, and best-in-class achievements in the emerging ecosystem, all hosted against the dynamic backdrop of Hong Kong’s rapidly evolving Low Altitude Economy.

Why Attend?

  • High-Impact Networking: Connect face-to-face with OEMs, airport authorities, technology developers, infrastructure planners, government representatives, and international investors.
  • Thought-Leadership Sessions: Hear from industry pioneers on regulatory sandboxes, terminal design strategies, and integrated AAM-ground transport solutions.

Low Altitude Economy (LAE) Forum

The Low Altitude Economy (LAE) is a multi-billion-dollar market reshaping urban logistics, emergency response, surveillance, and passenger transport worldwide. With Hong Kong prioritizing regulatory sandboxes and infrastructure investments, the region is at the forefront of this new mobility era. As Asia’s first dedicated platform for terminal design, construction, and operations, the STE LAE Forum brings together global and regional leaders to define harmonized safety standards, accelerate policy frameworks, and shape the next generation of integrated, scalable, and sustainable AAM infrastructure. This authoritative gathering spotlights state-of-the-art vertiport concepts and transformative business models, offering an unparalleled opportunity to engage with decision-makers and chart the future of urban air mobility.

Aviation Week Advanced Air Mobility Awards

The Aviation Week Advanced Air Mobility Awards 2026, held in association with the STE Low Altitude Economy Forum, enters its second year as the industry’s definitive benchmark for excellence across the global Advanced Air Mobility ecosystem.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the 2026 awards celebrate the innovations, organizations and leaders driving the AAM sector’s evolution from pioneering trials to commercial-scale operations. Presented by Aviation Week, a leading voice that has convened aviation’s key players for over a century, the awards are evaluated by an independent panel of sector leaders, regulators, and technical specialists across five key areas: technology development, commercial deployment, infrastructure enablement, public engagement, and policy advancement.

AWARDS CATEGORIES
